How to: Discovery

To discover data from an already configured datasource, navigate to the 'Data Studio' -> 'Discover' tab and follow the steps listed below. If you have not configured a datasource, refer to the '' section of the documentation

1. First, Select the Workspace: Choose the workspace where you want to discover data. You can create a new workspace or use an existing one.

2. Choose the Data Source: Select the data source that contains the datasets you want to discover. Dataworkz supports a variety of data sources, including cloud object stores, relational databases, SaaS applications, and NoSQL databases.

3. Select the Datasets: Choose the datasets you want to discover and analyze. You can select multiple datasets at once or select all the datasets from a data source. Note: it is NOT recommended to pull ALL data from a specific data source.

Once you have selected your workspace, data source, and datasets from the datasource, Dataworkz will automatically discover the data and provide you with a visual profile of the data, including summarized statistics. This will give you a better understanding of the data you will be working with and allow you to make more informed decisions about your analysis.

Note that you can also use the search function to find specific datasets or use the filtering options to narrow down the list of datasets based on criteria such as data source, format, or last modified date. This can help you quickly find the datasets you need and begin your analysis more efficiently.
