# How to Discover a Dataset

To discover data from an already configured datasource, navigate to **Data Studio** > **Discover** tab and follow the steps below. If you have not configured a datasource, refer to the [Connect to data sources](https://docs.dataworkz.com/product-docs/configuration/integrations-connect-to-data-source) section.

1. **Select the Workspace:** Choose the workspace where you want to discover data. Create a new workspace or select an existing one.
2. **Choose the Data Source:** Select the data source that contains the datasets you want to discover. Supported data sources include cloud object stores, relational databases, SaaS applications, and NoSQL databases.
3. **Select the Datasets:** Choose the datasets you want to discover. You can select multiple datasets at once. Pulling all data from a data source at once is not recommended.

After you select a workspace, data source, and datasets, Dataworkz automatically discovers the data and generates a visual profile with summarized statistics. This helps you understand the data before you begin analysis.

You can use the search function to find specific datasets, or use the filtering options to narrow results by criteria such as data source, format, or last modified date.
